Poker.com makes network?

Online poker room, Poker.com, announced today that it has made some changes to its business model, which include the creation of a new poker network.The new network is called the Merge Gaming Network, the first member of which is a new room, CarbonPoker.com. Carbon Poker is a clone of Poker.com and all Carbon players will be playing at the tables along with Poker.com players. Interestingly, the Poker.com website will no longer have its own poker software. Instead, it is turning into an online poker portal.Poker.com, as an online poker room, will essentially become defunct, as it will not take any more new signups. Current Poker.com customers will still be able to play as normal and can always re-download the software if need be from their player admin section.The old Poker.com management will be running the Merge Gaming Network, as well as continuing to oversee the existing Poker.com accounts. The network plans to add more brands in the months to come.The most curious part about all of this is Poker.com’s new function as a poker portal. The oddest part of the whole thing is that the website has links to other online poker rooms, including Full Tilt Poker and 888.com. Why a site that will supposedly be a front for the Merge Gaming Network would want to send players to other poker rooms is unknown at this time.

Blogger Tour Grand Final

The day finally arrived and I was ready for it.

20 persons. Texas NL. 10 min levels 5k start stack.

I must admid right from the start I saw some extreemely poor poker. People called to river with 55 without having hit anything, even with big reraises. It was like playing a freeroll, if people had a hand they called to river regardless of what hit the table.

Sadly for me I never had a hand in the game. 1 AQ folded preflop. 1 44 and finally 1 99 which killed me. that was pretty much it for me. sadly I never got to play poker.

My last hand with blinds at 600, me UTG with 99. 5000 chips left slightly low. I raise 1800, 1 call andother(purechaos) go all in with 13000 chips. I call at this point being very low and I look into KQ, yes shoking right??? all in with 13000 and he has crap like that??? Not that I was that surprised really, that was the level most in the game played.

Ofcourse he gets an Ace high str8 and Im out. I made 11th and got a chipset, wonder if the lower prizes GF ticket to 275$ aint worth more? Else it will be the most exclusive chipset I own. *lol*

Yes believe it or not, I made 10th just getting me enough points to stay in the Top20 and award me the Grand Final ticket for saturday. :D

Now to make it 2 in a row. *lol*

Here are the list of people making the top20 and the final. as you see Hacksaw made it, which makes me specially happy, since I almost cost him the final spot in last event where I made a misclick calling his all in with more than ½ my stack on K3 offsuit buying a K and killing his QQ.

Yes Im back.
you might have noticed a lack in post for a time, but Im now on the availibility list for work. That means Ive been quite busy for some time getting the money to even live properly. You might call me a pro pokerplayer now, but that prolly wont last. 1 of the things that suffered was my blog, too much to do and I had neither time or the mood to post here.

Yes after the disaster for me yesterday in the bloggertour and the Grand Final for Aussie million on poker.com, theese 2 are on the menu today.

The 100k GTD I qualified for on Potraiser but even without qualifying you can get in it for a measly 200 Euro. Thats good value.

After blinds got very high on FT, the play tended to be all in or fold.
Pretty lottolike. Saw some very bad beats also.

Bugger bugger bugger

Well the title pretty much say it all. Im out of the danish championship.

After getting a good start and at the first break I had almost doubled with 18k in chips.
But after the break it went all wrong. 3 hands in a row I get a very good draw on the flop, but end up hitting nothing and at the next break im down to 10k again.
Then a very long period of totally dead cards, until blinds are 1200, I sit with 8k and I take a chance with A7 suited. Average at this point is 26k
But I get 2 callers. AQ and KK, not the best time to chance it.
The flop gives me 2 spades for the flushdraw but it dont happen and KK take it all. :(

I ended 52th, but with almost 1000 people to start with its not that bad a result, just not usuable for a lot. :( I am officially the 52nd best pokerplayer in denmark. bugger that. lol

Danish Championship Qualifiers

Yes I made it. After 8 hours at the Copenhagen Casino I made it within the 13 that got access to the final on saturday.

The championship is made up of 1 Final and about 25 Qualifying Tournaments with 110 people in each and 13 seats.

You have to qualify you cannot buy in directly to the final. Each satellite have a buy in of 500$ and after missing the online sats for the qualifiers I decided to buy in of my own pocket. :)
So this Thursday I went to Copenhagen casino to play it.

Already from the start it did not go as good as I had hoped, But I really tightened up and waited for my time, was allways a bit below average but that was ok. :)
Then with about 30 people left I started to make some moves and got a few good ones.

In the end Average where about 90-100k and I sat with about 170k so the last 2-3 persons to go out was not that hectic for me, No reason to gamble when you dont try to win. :)

I did get to take out the Champion from last year Janus Gringer, sorry. ;)

The final is played this Saturday and Sunday. Wish me luck :)

After my little Vegastrip I needed to win a little money back.

tuesday I played the 1000$ GTD and won. Wednesday I did the same. Thursday I made 2nd in it. ;)
Then I got a few lower money spots in it and today I won it again. :)

Played it 9 times in 8 days made the money in 7 and 3 times made the 1st spot. a pretty good week. :)

Funny enough I have played a lot of other tournaments this week and only manage 2 other moneyspots. :( a 3rd in a 10€ made 76€ tsk tsk and a 9th in a 10k GTD made 426€.

Ok, still here spending every cent I got. *lol*

Not having much luck at the tables, but I did manage to make the payouts in the tournament at the Sahara today, made 250$ needless to say they went on the tables after. :D Do I ever learn?

At least they pay so many comppoints on the playing that I can eat and smoke for free, not even sure I can spend them all before I leave.

1 bad thing today. My Visa have a limit pr day, hit it when I payed for 4 more days here, did not notice I was low on cash and now I cant withdraw... Oooh well, then I have my American Express...But darn, forgot the pin for that one.

last chance was my Neteller, got a lot of money on that one too.... and WHAT??? They closed my account??? I have over 3 grand in that one. Still waiting to hear from their Support. Ofc they dont answer the Phone. :(

Yes Im sad to say it was, after 13 hours with 2 hours left for the end of the day I went out. :(

I got a bad beat just in the beginning with my KK and was fast down to 7000 chips.
I kept myseft there for about 12 hours a little up and a little down until I finally was at around 6000 chips, I get dealt AK in the small blind.

UTG raises the blind(300+25 ante) to 1200.
Everyone folds upto me.
Being pretty shortstacked(average about 20k at the time) I move all in.
He calls me and show pocket 10

Flop is: A J 5

But alas

Turn: 10
River: 6

And EgonOlsen is out of this years WSOP. :(

1 neat thing though, I had Howard Lederer at my table all night, he went bust about 2 hours before I did.
Phil Hellmut and Doyle Brunson also went out today while I was still there.

All in all I dont regret much of my moves. I had AK 4 times, the 3 first I hit nothing on the flop and had to fold.
2 times KK, 1 i lost in the beginning and 1 later that I won preflop with a reraise.

I also got to bust out 1 other player when he moved all in on the button and I called him with AQ flom the big blind. He had K6.

So it was a great experience even though I am a bit sad atm not making the last 2 hours of the day. 10.000 people is in this year, I went out at about no. 1000 out of 2400 today. :(

Live from vegas

Finally I arrived in Vegas after 20 hours travel.
After I got here I hooked up with Mada1970 from poker.com and with him and his friend bags we went to The Rio.
I got signed up for the Main event, gonna play on day 2, the 29th.
Then we just hung around looking at the games and all the darn pretty persons of the female sex here. and there is a lot. *lol*
I got to say hello to Men "the master" nice little fella. :) and saw a few og the other well known guys(Helmut, Raymer and Moneymaker)
I must say hooking up with Mada was a great idea, the guy has no shame so we also got VIP passes to the websites stands in the big hall even though it was not open yet. Seems they award boldness here a lot.
We also hit the driving range where we got to drive a Corvette and a Pontiac Solstice, very neat cars.
Im so happy every single building here have Aircon, because its so darn hot you can hardly breathe outside.

Later Mada and I went back to the Sahara and joined a little tournament with about 159 people in it and here I got my first bad beat. *lol* Guy moves all in preflop and I have AA on the button.
I call him ofcourse and he shows J4, but but. 4 on the flop, a J on the River and I got my first AA busted. :( that halved my stack and after that my cards also died. With blinds at 3k I had to make a move with my A9 suit UTG, but I got called by the chipleader with AQ and I was out in 38th place. money for 11 only.

Now Im waiting to get contact to the poker.com guys and see whats planned for today.

Ok this week have just been terrible. in every tournament I have played I have ended 1-4 places from the money.
IN EVERY SINGLE ONE.

and now to cap it I lost 2 hands to suckouts and just went out of the 1000$ GTD.
Man I hope this will not go on in Vegas

Did not go so well as I had hoped.

In the wednesday Leaderboard I made only 4 points, but since I became second last time Im still 3rd overall.

In the highroller(the 10k GTD) I ended 43 after a field of 137, getting me 0 points. :( Points start at no. 40
But after my 5th place last time Im also still 3rd on that leaderboard. Good thing is 2 Lassur.dk users made the money in 8th and 5th places. Very nice.

So a pretty slow week for me, Seems to get donked everytime I pickup a good hand, no luck this week. Lets see the next. :P

Made a little more cash to donk away in vegas.

Ok, my week just culminated with my greatest win ever...

Wednesday: Won Highroller Leaderboard on lassur.dk. 400 Euro
Thursday: 2nd place in the 25k Guaranteed on Pointpoker. 4228 Euro

Yeah baby, WSOP HERE I COME....

One of the biggest dreams for all online pokerplayers and its all MINE. :D

After playing 4+ hours in the Grand Final I manage with some luck I must admid to win the headsup after pretty much being one of the chipleaders through the whole tournament.

Since poker.coms hand history is not working at the moment I will try to recap the 2 deciding hands from the HU to the best I remember, which might not be all precise.

Going into to HU against OhioMike i was shortstacked, about 50k to his 150k in chips.
Knowing I had to doubble fast, since I knew he would raise all my BBs I tried to be agressive, which is hard being lowstacked.
But my cards was totally dead, nothing but 85 and 74..
I had 65 suit so I decided to reraise his initial raise to my BB which he called.

Flop Q 6 3 (i think, dont remember the unimportant cards)

I took a chance here and went all in, desperate for the extra chips, but alas, he called and showed Q2
Now at this point I kinda gave up in my mind

Turn: 9

River: 5 Yes baby, I hit the 2 pair on the river, doubling instead of getting a new monitor.

This hand put us on even terms and after a little back and forth I became a slight chipleader.

Final hand:

Im dealt J9 in BB
Mike clickraise my BB which I call.

Flop: Q 9 6
I decide to bet on that one and he moves all in on me.
I though a bit seeing VEGAS everywhere and said out loud to the 7 people standing around me, NO HE BLOODY DID NOT HIT THE Q AGAIN and I called.

Mike showed A6 suit and I felt I had it.

And yes no help for either on turn and river and EGON IS GOING TO VEGAS

Came 2nd in a freeroll on Pointpoker. Felt good and wanted to play the 25k later, but did not have enough for the buy in.
22 min before it started I played a SnG, after 21 minutes I won it and just had enough for the 25k

Today was the day I got my biggest win so far. Played in the 20k guaranteed on Pointpoker and came in 2nd after around 3 hours of play.

Last hand I had about 100k chips, other dude had 240k I get AQ and he all in on me.

I call ofc. and he shows QJ, very nice for me.

But he gets a J on flop and another on turn, making my happiness short.

But afetr 2 min Im estatic again. :D had grand support on Final Table from ½ the users on lassur.dk, was great.

In the end I got 1850€ not bad for 3 hours :)

Well I started yesterday with 0€ on my account. I played the 25€ freeroll hoping to win a little so I could rebuy in the 2k one. I did made 1st and got 12€ I think.

At the same time I played the 2k freeroll, used my 10€ in the break to addon and ended 8th I think with another 68€

Then today was the 500€ freeroll, again I played the 25€ one, got 6th and got 3€ ;) But then

Ok this saturday I went to a live game arranged by Lassur.dk, 3 tournaments, a 50$ freezeout, a 15$ R/A wild west style and last 80$ with 1 rebuy. Came 8th, 5th and 3rd. Not too shabby. :)

Ok today started fairly poor. Played for the Forum Leagueteam Blind Bullies on Poker.com. This weekend is Omaha weekend, a game I really really DONT master. ;) well 2 SnGs with 10 people each time. Made 10th and 8th. lol talk about poor. ;)

Yesterday I tried the 40k and 50k on BetonBet. Did not do well in either, either. :(

After all this I went back to basics. Yes my tourneys, the 1000$ R/A on poker.com and made a stunning 2nd, adding another 250$ to the bankroll.
Wonder why I can never win that tourney. 2x2nd,3rd,4th and a 5th place. cant seem to get the last payout place. But hey, who am I to complain.

After I started with the Charity Tourney, thinking an Accolade would be cool and only 15 in it... I ended 11th after 57 hands, I won 3 Hands where everyone folded. :(

Monday I got me 80 bucks for the 5th place in the 1k Tourney, not bad considering I was last when hitting final table(10 ppl) and it only pays to top 5 :)

Today then completely broke last weeks curse. In the 500$ Short Handed Tourney, I was strugling all the way, allways lowstack but hang on and Finally I could collect 276$ for the FIRST place. ;)

Ok this must be the worst week I ever had. Spend a lot of money getting nowhere. :( Got Donked at every Corner. If I had KK, someone had AA, if the other way around he hit another K or a straight.
I dont have space to post all the bad Beats, but here are 2 that springs to mind.

First was Sunday 1000$ only 12 people left, no 11 sits at the BB with 500 chips more than me, me being low stack at the time.

Ok today was one of the worst tournament days...Did not even make it to the break in the 1000$ even with 5 rebuys.
Here is the hands I lost on.

AK loose all in preflop to 67suit. he got flush
AQ loose to pocket 66 I had Q on flop, all in, he hit 6 on river.
AQ loose to AJ I had Q on flop, all in he gets a straight.
and the last one.
QQ loose to A2 all in preflop. He hits the 2 on flop and the A on turn.
Figured rebuys was a waste at this point.

Amazing recovery..

Once again I made it to the money. Again the 1000$ Tourney, this time making 3rd getting 150$
When there was 20 people left with no rebuys left I had 527 chips, was forced all in on BB. Had 94 off. Someone went all in with 66, hit the 9 and won. From that off I went straight to the top.
Then Isaac bust my star. He was btw, the same person that put me on 527 chips after again beating my pockets with a higher pocket.
